Greece Video Projects
In 2019 I had the wonderful opportunity to study abroad with my university in Paros, Greece. I credit a lot of my growth personally and as a filmmaker during my time spent on this small Cycladic island in the Aegean Sea. It gave me the chance to know my peers on a deeper level beyond the class room while creating videos on topics we are all really passionate about.
Colin Brown Docu-short
One of our projects in Greece was to connect with a local and create a short documentary. I loved this task because it gave us the chance to really get to know those around us and push us out of our comfort zones. This project follows the life of Colin Brown in a satirical way, poking fun at his prestigious career filming the voiceovers for the student films at Indiana University. I thoroughly loved every part of this process! Getting to know Colin, diving more into documentary style film, and running a project from beginning to end all made for such a wonderful first project while studying abroad.
For this project I found the subject, filmed, interviewed, and edited.

Paros, Greece Aerial
One of my tasks while on this trip was to film the drone videos for each students documentary- which ended up being so much fun and a great learning experience. From there I challenged myself to create a video showcasing the work I captured, with some additional drone flights added in! I had a lot of fun choosing the music for this piece. I wanted something that showcased the sense of community of different cultures coming together. That was the beauty of this trip is how well we got to know those around us that live life so differently than we know it back home.

Paws for a cause.
Our final project in Greece was to create a longer documentary about a social issue on the island. Our topic was about the stray animal issue in Parikia. We were able to meet with Ray Fellows to learn more about all the good they are accomplishing to solve the problem.
